Mitra is a DC native joining District Bridges as Main Street Manager for Columbia Heights & Mount Pleasant. She studied sociology and has spent 8 years working at high-growth startups in roles spanning operations, employee experience, brand strategy & marketing, and UX research. Most recently, she worked at Each Peach, a small business in Mount Pleasant.
Mitra is passionate about food systems and access, and cares deeply about creating belonging in her community. She works at the Mount Pleasant Farmers Market, provides admin support for Mount Pleasant Village and ANCs 1A and 1D, and is excited to bring her experience to strengthen her city and neighborhood’s commercial corridors.
