District Bridges (“we,” “our,” or “District Bridges”) provides this Privacy Policy to explain how we collect, use, and share your information, and some of the choices you may have. This Privacy Policy applies to our collection of information, including personal information, through the District Bridges websites at districtbridges.org and accesspointdc.com (collectively referred to as the “District Bridges Platform”). When we use the term “personal information,” we mean any information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular individual person.

INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE TO US

We collect and use personal information you provide to use in the following ways:

  • Registering for Newsletters

When you sign up for District Bridges newsletters, you provides us with information such as your email address, first and last name, zip code, business name, and website information.

  • Signing Up for District Bridges Action Team

When you sign up for the District Bridges Action Team, you provide us with information such as your first and last name, phone number, neighborhood information, preference of action team type, and any textual information provided in the free form text box.

  • Contact Information

When you utilize our “Contact Us” feature, you provide us with information such as your first and last name, email address, phone number, and any textual information provided in the free form text box.

INFORMATION COLLECTED FROM THIRD-PARTY COMPANIES 

We may receive personal information about you from our data partners and service providers and combine this information with other information we collect from or about you. The third parties may include social networking sites, our website, and service operators and analytics providers. We use this information to administer and facilitate the District Bridges Platform, communicate with you about the District Bridges Platform, and to obtain insights into and protect the District Bridges Platform. We may also receive information about you from other sources like the brand you are connected to. We may add this information to the information we have already collected from you via the District Bridges Platform in order to improve and market the District Bridges Platform.

  • Social Networking Sites

The District Bridges Platform allow users to share information with us via social networking sites, such as Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter (each an “SNS”). By sharing your SNS profile, you are allowing us to access some of your SNS information depending on your SNS settings or as allowed by you (such as profile information and profile photo). We may receive that information from your SNS profile and that information may be imported to the District Bridges Platform. You acknowledge and agree that you are solely responsible for your use of SNSs and that it is your responsibility to review the terms of use and privacy policy of the third party provider of such SNSs. We will not be responsible or liable for: (i) the availability or accuracy of such SNSs; (ii) the content, products or services on or availability of such SNSs; or (iii) your use of any such SNSs. 

  • Publicly Available Sources

We collect personal information about individuals that we do not otherwise have, such as contact information and interest-in-services information, from publicly available sources. We may combine this information with the information we collect from an individual directly. We use this information to contact individuals, to send advertising or promotional materials or to personalize our District Bridges Platform and to better understand the demographics of the individuals with whom we interact.

  • Information from Other Sources

We may obtain information from other sources, including through third-party information providers, or through transactions such as mergers and acquisitions. We may combine this information with other information we collect from or about you. In these cases, our Privacy Policy governs the handling of the combined personal information. We use this information to operate, maintain, and provide to you the features and functionality of the District Bridges Platform, as well as to communicate directly with you, such as to send you email messages about products and services that may be of interest to you.  

INFORMATION WE COLLECT AUTOMATICALLY

  • Web Logs and Usage Data

When you use the District Bridges Platform, some information is automatically collected. For example, when you use the District Bridges Platform, your geographic location, how you use the District Bridges Platform, information about the type of device you use, your mobile network information, your Open Device Identification Number (“ ODIN”), date/time stamps for your visit, your unique device identifier (“UDID”), and your browser type, operating system, Internet Protocol (IP) address, and domain name are all collected. This information is generally used to help us deliver the most relevant information to you and administer and improve the District Bridges Platform.

We and our service providers use cookies, scripts and similar technologies to manage the District Bridges Platform and to collect information about you and your use of the District Bridges Platform. We work with a number of third-party analytics companies that collect information anonymously and report website trends without identifying individual visitors. These services allow us to view a variety of reports about how visitors interact with the District Bridges Platform so we can improve our website and understand how people find and navigate it. Currently, we work with the following analytics companies: Google Analytics. This is not intended to be a comprehensive list and we may stop working with these companies and work with others without notice.   • Aggregate Data

In an ongoing effort to better understand our users and the website we may analyze your information in aggregate form, and merge your information with other data for purposes of our reporting, planning, development, operating, maintaining, managing, and improving the website. The aggregate information collected through the website does not identify you personally; similarly, user level information (i.e., IP Address or Device Identifier) can identify a user’s computer or mobile phone but not the user directly (such as by name).  We may share this data with our affiliates, agents, and business partners.

In addition to the uses described above, we may collect and use personal information for the following purposes:

  2. facilitate the creation of and secure your Account on our network;
  3. identify you as a user in our system;

  5. improve the quality of experience when you interact with the District Bridges Platform, including the testing of different page designs to see which performs better;
  6. send you administrative email notifications, such as security or support and maintenance advisories;

  • User Feedback

We may post user feedback on the District Bridges Platform from time to time. If you make any comments on a blog, SNS page or forum associated with the District Bridges Platform, you should be aware that any information you submit there can be read, collected, or used by other users of these forums, and could be used to send you unsolicited messages. We are not responsible for the information you choose to submit in these blogs and forums.

  • Creation of Anonymous Data

We may create anonymous data records from personal information by excluding information (such as your name) that makes the data personally identifiable to you. We use this anonymous data to analyze request and usage patterns so that we may enhance the content of District Bridges Platform and improve site navigation. We may disclose personal information to governmental regulatory authorities as required by law. We may also disclose personal information to third parties in connection with claims, disputes or litigation, when otherwise required by law, or if we determine its disclosure is necessary to protect the health and safety of you or any other person, to protect against fraud, or to enforce our legal rights or contractual commitments that you have made.

  • Business Transfers

We may disclose personal information as part of an organizational business transaction, such as a merger, acquisition, joint venture, financing, or sale of organizational assets and may transfer personal information to a third party as one of the business assets in such a transaction. We may also disclose personal information in the event of insolvency, bankruptcy, or receivership.

  • At Your Request

We may disclose your information publicly or with another third party with your prior authorization.

CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

We do not knowingly collect or solicit any information from anyone under the age of 13 on the District Bridges Platform and the District Bridges Platform is not targeted towards anyone under the age of 13. In the event that we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal information from someone under age 13, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. LINKS TO OTHER WEBSITES AND SERVICES

The District Bridges Platform may contain links to third party websites or services, including those of our partners. You may also be able to interact with us or the District Bridges Platform through third parties, such as social media sites. This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of these or any other third parties. District Bridges is not responsible for the privacy practices of any entity that it does not own or control. We encourage you to review the privacy policies and terms of those third parties to learn more about their privacy practices.

CHANGES TO OUR PRIVACY POLICY

This Privacy Policy is subject to occasional revision, and if we make any material changes in the way we use your personal information, we will notify you by sending you an email to the last email address you provided to us and/or by prominently posting notice of the changes on the Services and updating the “Last Updated” date above. Any changes to this Privacy Policy will be effective upon the earlier of thirty (30) calendar days following our dispatch of an email notice to you or thirty (30) calendar days following our posting of notice of the changes on the District Bridges Platform. These changes will be effective immediately for new users of the District Bridges Platform. Please note that at all times you are responsible for updating your personal information to provide us with your most current email address. In the event that the last email address that you provided us is not valid, or for any reason is not capable of delivering to you the notice described above, our dispatch of the email containing such notice will nonetheless constitute effective notice of the changes described in the notice. If you do not wish to permit changes in our use of your personal information, you must notify us prior to the effective date of the changes that you wish to deactivate your Account with us.
