AppleTree Schools is an independently operated public school that focuses on three- to four-year-old children in the Washington, DC metro area.
Just who is AppleTree Schools? AppleTree Schools is a collection of top-quality campuses serving preschool children in DC since 2005. Our mission is to improve the community by providing free education to three- and four-year-olds. By laying down a foundation for academic achievement in preschool, children begin their academic careers in a strong position, ready to thrive.
AppleTree Schools seeks partnering opportunities within the community to serve our local neighborhoods by providing a free, quality education to three- and four-year-olds. Through District Bridges’ sponsorship, we could participate in Columbia Heights Day, which allowed us to engage with families of the Columbia Heights Campus neighborhood. Additionally, this sponsorship provided us with the opportunity to increase our neighborhood connections.
What do people need to know about AppleTree right now? We have 13 schools across the DC metro area, in Wards 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, and 8. The Every Child Ready thematic curriculum consists of 11 units of study that are rich, playful, and engaging! This curriculum covers two years of learning, with differentiated content for PK3 and PK4 classrooms.
