Looking for something to do this weekend in Columbia Heights? We have you covered!

The Wonderland Ballroom (1101 Kenyon Street NW)

Celebrate Oktoberfest the right way at the Wonderland Ballroom! Starting at 4:00pm on Sunday, Sept. 19th, stop by to kickoff this German tradition with all kinds of festivities, including bier specials, live music, and their specialty Oktoberfest menu kickoff. Try traditional German dishes, like Bavarian goulash, their alpine wurst platter, and crispy Wiener schnitzel with lingonberry. And with $4 Underberg and apple schnapps, their own house lager, and more, it’s no wonder that the Wonderland Ballroom is the place to be.

GALA Hispanic Theater (3333 14th Street NW)

Running Sept. 9th to Oct. 3rd, GALA Hispanic Theater‘s production of Doña Rosita la soltera, or Doña Rosita the Spinner, is a must-see before the show closes! The play explores love, societal expectations, and betrayal at the turn of the 20th century, spanning a decade of Rosita’s life on the precipice of the first World War and her changing roles in a quickly-modernizing society. Grab tickets to see this emotional and powerful production as soon as possible!

Coffy Café (3310 14th Street NW)
